You can’t put a price on changing lives, or preparing girls for a lifetime of self-respect and empowerment. However, there are real costs associated with operating a non-profit organization and delivering the Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole programs to approximately 1,000 girls in central Illinois each year.
The out-of-pocket cost for Girls on the Run of Central Illinois to deliver the 10-week program to one girl is approximately $190, but thanks to the generosity of local donors and sponsors, we are able to provide it to families for $150. In order to ensure that no girl is turned away based on an inability to pay, Girls on the Run offers scholarships based on a sliding scale, ranging from $25 to $125.
