Thank you to our partners

We would like to thank our amazing partners at our local community foundations. Girls on the Run was honored to receive a Community Grants Award from the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln in 2016. The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois awarded a $2,500 grant from their fund to support our Peoria teams. We also wanted to give a big energy award to the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation-Women to Women Giving Circle, who awarded $5,000 to assist with our expansion into the Bloomington/Normal area. Girls on the Run would like to thank all our donors, sponsors and partners for your help in making 2016 a successful year for our programs!

Spring season brings BIG milestones

Spring season brings BIG milestones

With the Spring season under way, we are thrilled to announce that we have over 600 girls registered! Because of this achievement, we have now reached another big milestone, we have registered over 7,000 participants through our local program since 2004!
Our spring season will bring over 50 teams, 620 girls and 200 volunteers together to make a lasting impact on the lives of girls in central Illinois. Welcome to our first time program locations: Argenta-Oreana Elementary (Macon county), Black Hawk Elementary (Springfield), Cantrall Intermediate School, Cedar Ridge Elementary (Bloomington), New Central School (Havana) and West Lincoln-Broadwell.
Program participants are on a 10-week journey to become more confident, healthy and connected to their community. Thank you to all the parents/guardians, girls, volunteers, and partner sites who make this program possible. We’ll see you at the spring 5k on May 20th!

Canvas & Cocktails will be here soon!
