Girls on the Run of Central Illinois

Our 2012 spring GOTR 5k Event presented by Memorial Health System will be held May 19th at Springfield’s Washington Park.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL RUNNERS AND WALKERS IN OUR COMMUNITY!

The spring 2012 Girls on the Run (GOTR) non-competitive walk/run is scheduled for 10 a.m., May 19th at Washington Park in Springfield, Illinois. This program season, over 500 girls age 8 to 13 from 32 schools are participating in the GOTR curriculum which focuses on teaching self-respect and healthy lifestyle choices. The program season ends with the 5k race that celebrates their training.

Click on the GetMeRegistered logo below to get started. Online registration is $25 through 5/4 and $30 from 5/5-5/17. If you register by May 4th, you are guaranteed a race t-shirt!

**Please note that all GOTR/GOT program participants and volunteer coaches participating in the current season do not need to register.**

If you would rather register on paper - download a paper registration form and mail it with the registration fee to our office at: 907 Clocktower Drive, Springfield, IL 62704. Paper registrations are $30 and must be received by 5/4. You can also register in person at packet pick-up or on race day for $35.

Volunteer registrations for Saturday’s May 19^th GOTR 5k is now closed. We’ve received tremendous community support! We want to thank all those who have already registered as volunteers for our event, and for those unable to register in time, we look forward to your involvement for our fall program 5k on Nov. 10th, 2012

Starting at 8:30 a.m. on the morning of the race, there will be a family-friendly festival with face & hair painting (free), fun activities (free and fee) and photo opportunities. GOTR apparel items will also be available for purchase. Post-race activities will be available until noon.
